Bird Caftan in Color No. 38

Meet Bird! 

This style was inspired by a vintage set a friend brought on a recent trip to Palm Springs. There was so little fabric, I wanted to be able to make at least 2 and I found myself referring to this as "Shorty". 

Funny story, my old place in New Orleans - my neighbor's dog is Shorty. And she, goes by Bird (due to her bird legs and bird-shaped body! Oh I miss that place). So seeing as how this caftan has it's own set of wings, it felt fitting to name her Bird. 

Measures 30" across (flat) from the side seams and is 34" in length. 

Vintage Catherine Ogust cotton fabric. 
100% cotton. Shirting-weight. Can hold its own and will only get softer with every wash. 

There's only 2, forever and ever and I'm letting them both go as I'm sure there's someone out there with better looking legs than mine that is going to rock the hell out of this baby.

Machine was cold, tumble dry low (or air dry) and love it for life.
