Diana Gets a New Size!

My obsession with caftans can be attributed to my obsession with scale. My obsession with scale can be attributed back to middle school when I felt forced to shrink myself down due to being endlessly ridiculed for being "too much". Something inside me desperately wanted to be bigger, taller. This might have been why I'd watch runway shows on the Style Channel every afternoon when I got home. Watching these unusual, long-limbed creatures stomping along the catwalk suddenly made me feel like someday, I could do the same.

Sadly, all puberty gave me in inches was an increased width in the hip area.

Somehow scale and I found each other again in college and a recent visit with a friend and a day filled with art lead to an observation of how I'm attracted to the bigger pieces.

Like, Diana.

Like all the fabrics with the biggest prints.

And somewhere along this recent development I realized, there's tiny people out there who deserve to feel big too.

Hence, Petite Diana.

Perfectly sized down for the under 5'3" crowd. Compare the two and you'll see (on Lu's 5'3" frame) the adjustments made.

Petite Diana measures 35" across (flat) and 47" in total length.
