Human Error and New Numbers

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a drop as big as the Iris drop on March 9th. For a one-woman show doing everything: patterns, samples, cutting, sewing, photography prep, photos, photo editing and social media…it’s a marathon that requires careful strategy.

There are systems I build to make my life easier and one of them is my “plug and play” costing spreadsheet. Everything is in there, with me needing only to add the cost of fabric, and voila! the price appears.

In this case, I made an error. In being able to add the additional “no waste” cut, I needed to tailor the cost of fabric down to account for the split.

I’ll spare you the technicalities to say, the prices have been properly re-calculated and have gone down.

My sincerest apologies for any confusion this may cause. Human trying to do too much (which I'm sure you can relate to at some point or another). A massive lesson learned here as well. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask - I’m an open book.

Your continued support means the world.

Much love,

Lu
