Meet Beal (cut short for Jennifer Beals) arguably the most notable off-the-shoulder look for her cut sweatshirt in Flashdance. An evolution on the glam muu, this dress can truly take you from day-to-night. From the left, she appears effortless and fluid. From the right, the mid-thigh slit averts gazes and invites you to strut your stuff! Due to the length of the slit, Beal only has one pocket. Placed on the left side (opposite of the slit) as an homage to vintage dresses in Lu's collection with only one pocket. (Her theory is most people were right-handed and stirring pots and the left pocket was for their cigarette stash. What's yours?)
